The Jenny Lind Singers is a celebrated ensemble of local female singers, named after the renowned and revered ‘Swedish Nightingale’ Jenny Lind, who lived in Malvern for the latter part of her life and was a well-known benefactor of education and the arts. They are honoured to have as their patron Dr Inga Lewenhaupt, former Chair of the Jenny Lind Society of Stockholm.

They present several concerts a year in which they explore new music, especially by women and local composers, including for this concert the award-winning composers Liz Dilnot Johnson and Kate Hill.

The Singers were re-founded in 2013 by Lynne Lindner, then Director of Music at Malvern St James Girls’ School, and have performed to great acclaim in many venues in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
