Rebecca Watson
Rebecca Watson gained a Masters degree in piano performance with distinction in 2023, under the tutelage of Mark Bebbington and John Thwaites at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During her studies, she was awarded the Ambache Prize for a performance of “Pentecost” by Diana Burrell and was a finalist in both the Beryl Chempin Beethoven Prize and the Donohoe Gold Medal.
In recent years she has performed in the Conservatoire lunchtime recital series, chamber music and historic piano performance festivals, a Malcolm Arnold celebration concert, and at the Ulverston International music festival.
Rebecca collaborated with a soprano in concerts which raised over £6000 for Hospice care, and has played in the St Martin’s, Worcester, concert series, which supports local charities. Rebecca read medicine at Cambridge University and currently works as a medical school lecturer. Future projects include performances of Dorothy Howell, John Joubert, Beethoven and Bliss.
