Proteus Ensemble Coffee Concert

Acclaimed Midlands chamber choir The Proteus Ensemble was founded in 2013 by its conductor Stephen Shellard and consists of professional singers from all over the UK.

This concert will showcase repertoire from their new recording of part-songs by Elgar, ‘There Is Sweet Music’. Released in November 2024 on Avie Records. The album was featured on BBC Radio 3’s Record Review programme and hailed by Gramophone Magazine as ‘beautifully recorded…splendidly alert and sympathetic performances’.
